Nylon Magazine, a fashion magazine, has collaborated with Nike Sportswear to design a new line of Dunk Hi shoes. This pack of Dunk Hi uses nylon in the base material. So far, the sneaker has been issued in electric pink and green colors. The shoes will be shown in many fashion shows during the New York Fashion Week. Nylon Magazine has its offices in New York and is very popular there. Hence Nylon will show off their shoes in NY. The shoes will have an official release date later in 2009. The Nylon Nike Dunk Hi will be featured in Nylon magazine in their April 2009 issue. This is a special issue as it marks the 10th anniversary of Nylon magazine.
The green nylon upper has several seams to give definition to the shoe. The Nike swoosh and midsole are in a slightly darker shade of green. It looks good and does not distract from the uniform green color.
The pink Nylon shoe is identical to the green colored counterpart. Both colored shoes have their multicolored tags proclaiming “Nylon”. If you like pink and green, you will certainly get a kick out of these two beauties.
Sideview Customs was approached by a Celtics superfan in search of a pair of Boston-themed Nike Dunks. The Celtic Nike Dunks were featured in Sideview’s latest Nike Talk post linked here (along with his TMNT Nike Dunks). The popularity of the Big Three in Boston has led to an increased number of customs based on the Celtics but Sideview took a unique approach to keep these sneakers fresh.
Sideview employed thin green lines on the toe and Nike swoosh to create an elephant-skin effect. The back panel is pure green with a small four-leaf clover in white, a simple homage to the Boston Celtics. The designer went a simpler route than other designers in celebrating the reigning NBA champions.

Pictures of this SB first surfaced around Christmas time. They were then given the name “Ants” after the picture on the insole that looked like it had Ants on it. Now we know that they are officially dubbed the “Angel and Devil” after the insole (again) which depicts a very skilled drawing of an Angel and Devil. The nickname could also have been given due to the colors used. Baltic Blue on the swoosh and toebox, which is actually a little deeper than baby blue probably represents the Angel and red that represents the Devil. Like the title states and aside from the average SB these too feature higher quality materials. The soft black leather that graces the upper and the black denim on the heel tab definitely add to the appearance. Another thing that makes the “Angels & Devils” special is the tongue tab.
